THE  LIBRARY  OF  THE  EZA Back

The  library  has  a  holding  of  about  80.000  volumes. The  library  is
composed  of  materials  from  the official  libraries  of the organizations
whose  files  are  kept  in our archive  as  well  as a collection  of  other
literature  that  has been collected  according  to  certain  criteria. Thus
the  library  reflects  the  holdings  of  the  archive.  By  and  large,  the
literature found  here dates from the 19th and 20th centuries, although
some older titles may also be found.

USE OF THE LIBRARY

The library of the EZA is a reference library. Its holdings may only be used in the reading-room
of the archive. Due to the limited number of workstations, it is necessary to call in advance and
reserve  a  place  (For  reservations:  bibliothek@ezab.de).
Photocopies from books can be made by the user himself, if the condition
of the book allows it. The price per copy: EUR 0.20.

The library is a closed stacks library. Open access is only permitted to a
small  part of its holdings,  namely, a collection of reference  works which
are located in the reading-room.

The holdings  of our library  are electronically  catalogued  and can be accessed  over the
Internet.  Our holdings  are included  in the  Virtual  Catalogue  for Theology  and Church.
