The reservation of seats and microfiche readers is essential for those wishing to consult parish registers because the number of microfiche readers is limited ! A workplace reserved in advance will be held for that user for only one hour ! Seats that remain free on a given day are offered at 10.00 a.m. to users who have taken a number and are waiting for their number to be called. The  reading  room  will  be  closed  on  23 December 2008  at  2 pm ! It  will  be  closed  from  24 December 2008  through  2 January 2009 ! It  will  open  again  on  5 January 2009.

Opening hours:	Mo - Fr	9 am -   4 pm
Handing out of archival material:	Mo - Fr	9 am - 12 am

Effective 1 May 2006  seat reservations for consulting parish registers  can  only be made  in  writing  (Postal  address:  Kirch- liches  Archivzentrum  in Berlin,  Bethanien- damm 29, 10997  Berlin,  Germany  or  Fax:

At this time we have a great number of applications to reserve a place in the reading room. Please make your reservations two to three months in advance. Please mention alter- native dates in your application.

Facilities Available in the Reading-Room:	A  reference  library  containing  important  works  of  reference. Electrical  outlets  for laptops / notebooks at every  workplace.
	A  coin-operated  reader-printer  to make  copies  from microfiched  parish  registers.
